Ryan Reynolds showed his potential with the first two parts of the franchise, leaving Marvel, to put all their eggs in his basket. The last few days have continuously unwrapped new X-Men characters set to be joining Ryan Reynolds on Deadpool’s adventures. The latest announcement on Twitter confirms Brian Cox reprising his role as William Stryker. This confirmation comes a day after Charles Xavier and Magneto were reported to have joined the franchise. Much-loved actors Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen will reprise their roles as well.
The cherry on the top came for fans when Jennifer Garner was roped in for playing Elektra after nearly 20 years. For many fans, Brian Fox is best known for his role as Logan Roy in the political comedy series Succession. The universally acclaimed series has shown his potential to fit perfectly in Deadpool since the protagonist is also known for being an action hero with a comical side.
With so many mutants being added to the third part, the need for powerful enemies had to be filled.

William Stryker can be characterized as a hater of the mutant, and someone who wants them destroyed. The role was last played by Fox in the 2003 movie X2: X-Men United. Before him, Danny Huston and Josh Helman brought the character to life in previous movies. The recurring character will have enough heroes to fight in the upcoming movie, especially with his known rivals.
Fans are coming up with new theories regarding the movie’s plot with so many interesting possibilities.
