There are two families on God’s green earth that have managed to grip pop culture by the jugular not once or twice, but with every move, The Simpsons and The Smiths. While one is an animated sitcom, the other is the family of superstar Will Smith, who also does not lack animation when it comes to nature. Jaden Smith especially seems to know just the right words that would metaphorically rub salt on whoever intended, while also making the world guffaw in shock.

It has been a year since the world checked to see if the Oscars had been highjacked by the creators of Punk’d. And despite the kerfuffle that enfolded following it, there is one tweet by Jaden Smith that still has fans thinking of what weird times we lived in.

Will Smith’s son, Jaden Smith, had made his place in the hearts of millions when he starred next to Jackie Chan in The Karate Kid. The movie seems to have left a great impact on him as after he saw his dad slapping Chris Rock on stage during the Oscars, he tweeted, “And That’s How We Do It.” It is unclear whether he was referring to Will Smith winning an award for his performance in King Richard or if his reaction was an amalgamation of his father, quite literally clapping back at Chris Rock after he joked about his mother’s condition.

The 24-year-old is followed by people from all walks of life on Twitter owing to his identity. Therefore, the reactions to his tweet from that day could make for the perfect research material for the study of diversity.
