Amidst ‘Stranger Things’ Delay, Joe Keery Caught Chilling in Hometown at a Flower Store
Stranger Things fans are incredibly upset since they learned about the long delay of their beloved show. Pertaining to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA and WGA strike, there is nothing creators or actors can do. But this postponement has certainly done one thing good, which is letting the cast members spend some quality time with loved ones. From Millie Bobby Brown to Noah Schnapp, all of them are enjoying summer to the fullest. Likewise, the heartthrob of the show, Joe Keery, has also joined the likes of these by taking some time to visit his hometown.
In the last seven years, Joe Keery has become one of the most famous stars of Stranger Things. Watching him play the role of Steve Harrington made fans believe people change. His journey from a jerky high schooler to the best daddy in the world has inspired millions. However, the actor recently took time off from his babysitter’s job to relive his childhood memories of the town where he grew up.
The American star was recently spotted at Nunan Florist and Greenhouses clicking pictures with the staff. The company was extremely excited to let people know about this unexpected moment and posted photos on Facebook. “We had the absolute honor of having the incredible Joe Keery, the talented actor from the hit series Stranger Things, drop by Café Sarina and Nunans!” read the caption.

In 2021, Joe Keery starred in the adventure comedy Free Guy with the Hollywood superstar Ryan Reynolds. They shot this movie in Boston for a couple of months. In fact, the Newburyport native spoke to Boston.com in 2019 about this experience and how producer Shawn Levy went to Fenway Park, where he used to spend much time as a kid.
The 31-year-old described that experience as something surreal that he got to shoot his film where he first dreamt about it. “To be back in the place where you grew up wanting to do a job like this? It’s amazing,” he added.
