A historic collaboration in comic book cinema history is taking place and fans cannot keep calm. The internet is abuzz with gossip and fan art frenzy over the crossover between Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in Deadpool 3. These two actors have a history of teasing each other on social media, and their characters have been connected in comic books for many years. And pretty soon we shall see them together on the big screen, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

But there is a wait since the MCU film has stopped filming, following the dual strikes. Fans, however, have no calm as one of them shared their art on Instagram, leaving the internet in awe as it braces for the MCU crossover.

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman dazzle in action in comic-accurate suits

A punchy red and yellow spectacle that is a feast for comic-book movie fans. After longing and lobbying for more than two decades, fans have finally got Wolverine in his comic-accurate suit as set photos had earlier confirmed. In this fan art, we can spot Jackman’s Wolverine blaring out his raw energy as he rides off a fire with Reynolds’ Merc-with-a-mouth. The concept takes and pays homage to several comic book themes which have done all but excited fans even more for the movie.

Wolverine is famous for his vintage motorcycles, and this one just does it justice. Moreover, the bike featured is a reference to the X-2: Wolverine’s Revenge video game. It is hilarious to note Deadpool’s iconic pose on the bike as he shoots off bullets into the distance. The fiery artwork has all but captured fans’ attention. Not only is the duo expected to potentially face off against each other but also against several villains, one of whom is Emma Corrin. 

Featuring, a star-studded cast Deadpool 3, is one of the most anticipated upcoming movies. However, it has run into certain hurdles.

SAG-AFTRA strikes have delayed Deadpool 3 production

The ongoing strike by SAG AFTRA has halted the production of movies and TV shows including Deadpool 3. The filming of the Marvel juggernaut, featuring Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and Morena Baccarin, had to be stopped early last month. As a result, there is a possibility that the original release date of Summer 2024 may not be met. Negotiations between studios and unions continue with no resolution in sight.

Additionally, the movie features a long cast of returning and new faces. Karan Soni, who plays Dopinder, is also making a comeback and might bring his Spiderman-India character along too. However, despite the long list of cast and cameos, delays surround the movie. However, Ryan Reynolds was recently in the UK as part of Deadpool 3’s commitment that caused him to miss out on team Wrexham’s first US tour. It is unclear if he was in the UK for shooting-related activities.
