Fortnite has a history of bringing different worlds with popular characters from Marvel, DC, Star Wars, and more joining the battle royale. Players can choose to play as one of their on-screen favorites. However, as AI grows everywhere in the real world, a legendary action star is making his presence felt on the game island, and he is not planning on being friendly. Arnold Schwarzenegger is reprising his role as the legendary cyborg assassin T-800, from the Terminator series in Fortnite.

The official Fortnite Twitter account confirmed the news by sharing a teaser post featuring the known T-800 character. It also showcased his iconic shotgun set against a blood-red background with his menacing red eye. A teaser trailer for the same highlighted his metal skeleton and daunting looks. Alongside, Sarah Connor joins him too as a playable character.

Fortnite players will have access to the Terminator skin through the in-game Item Shop. Additionally, add-ons inspired by the popular sci-fi franchise would be available too. The skin will offer variants, one of which will reveal his metal endoskeleton and intimidating red eye. It remains uncertain whether the characters John Connor or even Skynet from the Terminator series will also make their way into the game, alongside him and Sarah Connor.

Fortnite has collaborated with movie franchises that include Schwarzenegger in the past. Back in 2019, the game introduced a character skin inspired by his portrayal of Dutch, in Predator, a sci-fi action film with which Schwarzenegger was not very pleased. The Predator skin joined the game as part of the Chapter 2 Season 5 Battle Pass. However, with T-800 in their arsenal, fans can finally fend off the AI threat, although again virtually.

Now with two of Schwarzenegger’s iconic characters to play, fans have an opportunity. It is of witnessing these two iconic characters clash in Fortnite to see who reigns supreme.
