This revelation comes a year after the release of The Adam Project, where he played the role of Ryan Reynolds‘ dad in the action-packed film.

Mark Ruffalo takes up the role of dad for an upcoming television series

It is official! Mark Ruffalo is now set to star in a new indie television series that is called Hal and Harper as reported by Deadline.The Just Like Heaven actor is said to be portraying the role of the father in the upcoming series which is a comedic drama that focuses on the lives of a family of three and is directed by the triple threat, Cooper Raiff, who also directed Cha Cha Real Smooth, which won the Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival in 2022.

With such a captivating cast, no one can say that they are not intrigued with what the show will be bringing. While no other details have been given at this point, Cooper Raiff mentioned the project a few years ago and teased that it would be the story of two siblings, and their single dad, who forces them to grow up a little too soon. It was said that adult actors would play the children’s characters to solidify the plot.

But with the addition to the cast after the show landed a SAG-AFTRA Interim Agreement earlier in the week, Addison Timlin and Havana Rose Liu, many are already tingling with excitement over what the show will hold.

What can fans expect from the cast?

Drifting a little bit away from his usual roles, Mark Ruffalo seems to be ready to take on the role of the weird single dad and show his audience a new version of him. Whereas Lili Reinhart, the Riverdale star, and Cooper Raiff, who has written and will be directing the series, will be playing the siblings that have to grow up too fast, according to Deadline.
