After Getting Hugh Jackman the Comic Accurate Suit in ‘Deadpool 3’ Ryan Reynolds Might Get Channing Tatum His Awaited Gambit Outfit as Well
Ryan Reynolds is leaving no stone unturned for his comic book mega-crossover event with Deadpool 3. The actor along with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige brought back Wolverine actor Hugh Jackman to reprise his role too. The star has also ensured that the movie, decked up and ready to roar with mutants in the MCU, has a star-studded cast. The Deadpool actor is also keen on keeping one more cruciality in check: comic accuracy.
Hugh Jackman played the celebrated Wolverine for nearly two decades in the X-Men franchise. However, despite just a mild post-credits tease, he never for once donned his comic-accurate yellow-blue suit. All changed when Reynolds came into the scene. The actor made sure that both he and Hugh Jackman were ready to shine in their near comic-accurate glory, which set photos confirmed as well. Now it seems that Jackman is not the only one Reynolds was keen on for comic accuracy, but apparently the entire cast!

Channing Tatum, the Lost City actor, is set to star in Deadpool 3 as the Gambit. The character can make inanimate objects charged with kinetic energy and propel them at the enemy. However, beyond his powers, it is his unique purple suit, flowy hair, and brown cowl that make him all the more gritty and menacing. And Reynolds will be giving it to him without a hitch.
Deadpool 3 is undoubtedly one of the biggest crossover movies both for Ryan Reynolds and Marvel Studios. As such, it is essential to maintain comic accuracy and win over fan sentiments. Therefore, bringing Tatum’s Gambit along with his trademark look may just strike the right chord with the fans.
However, Channing Tatum’s stint as Gambit was set even before Ryan Reynolds returned with his rebooted Deadpool franchise in 2016!

After the disastrous outcome of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Fox was looking to reinvent itself. They reopened and launched Gambit with Channing Tatum as the lead at this time. Although there were talks to introduce the character even before the failed movie. However, budget, directorial, and Tatum’s scheduling conflicts held back the project once again. The project kept dragging along until it finally got on to Marvel Studios after the Disney-Fox merger and thus now can Gambit finally make his live-action debut. Hopefully.
