Now the team is set to have a series of friendly matches, even on American grounds.

Which teams will Wrexham compete in friendly matches ahead?

Wrexham AFC is set to expand its fan base by crossing borders and playing in front of a new audience. They will play against the Philadelphia Union at Subaru Park on the 28th July. The Union II is a reserve team of The Union and they share the grounds where the upcoming match will be held. The match is scheduled to begin at 7:30 pm but what is special is that it is the home city of the co-owner, Rob McElhenney, who is known for his work in Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia. 

But this match is part of their series on the tour of America. They are also set to play against Chelsea, LA Galaxy II, and the much-raved match against the world-famous Manchester United. The match against Manchester United will happen on the 25th, with the team pitting against Philadelphia Union as their last one.

With so much more exposure oncoming, its owners are making sure to highlight it all.

The Wrexham’s Racecourse Ground is set to go under renovation for expansion to increase capacity for fitting its ever-increasing fan base. We are also expected to have the next season of Welcome to Wrexham later this year on Disney+. The team’s website also gives updates on everything related to Wrexham, where one can also purchase tickets to the match.

Meanwhile, Blake Lively’s company Betty Buzz has sponsored practice kits for both the male and female teams. It will be seen what new updates the club brings next.
