Ryan Reynolds and Rob Rob McElhenney have wrapped up their second Welcome to Wrexham installment. And now the duo is giving their undivided attention to Wrexham and strengthening the team. They are constantly chasing after strong players who can turn their dream of bringing premier league football to North Wales into reality. The club is one a signing spree, and they recently made an excellent addition in the form of James McClean, who is an ex-player of Wigan.

This addition has instilled faith in the heart of the manager of the Republic of Ireland’s national team, Martin O’Neill, who is confident about another Wrexham promotion. And now, another talented player has also joined The Red Dragons, adding to the strength of the league.

After the injury of Paul Mullin, Wrexham owners are actively seeking new recruits who can compensate for their strongest player. As mentioned by Wrexham’s official site, Irish goalkeeper Luke McNicholas is jumping on board. He is an ex-player from Sligo Rovers, which plays in the Premier Division of the League of Ireland. This is the same club that also had Seamus Coleman, who made history as one of the highest purchases when he joined Everton.

This signing is on a temporary basis and the 23-year-old might get a permanent contract in January next year. McNicholas, from what it seems, is “absolutely buzzing” to join the league and “can’t wait to get started.”

The team has already played two matches with MK Dons and faced a setback on the opening day itself. The last match they played was with Wimbledon, which had a draw owing to James Tilley’s late penalty. With this rather disappointing start, it is uncertain whether the league can revive itself in the upcoming matches.
