Ryan ReynoldsDeadpool 3 has generated a lot of excitement among Marvel Cinematic Universe fans, who can’t wait to see how the witty and unpredictable Merc with a Mouth will interact with beloved superheroes and villains. However, imagine if Pavitr Prabhakar, recently featured in Spiderman: Across the Spiderverse, makes a cameo in this mega movie. That’s right! We’re referring to Spider-Man India, who already shares a connection between him and the Deadpool universe.

Actor Karan Soni, who plays Dopinder, a lovably humble Indian cab driver in the Deadpool universe, also voiced Pavitr Prabhakar in Spiderman: Across the Multiverse. Dopinder is confirmed for a comeback in the third installment of the franchise. And if he does, then why not a subtle hint to his Spidey counterpart? After all, Deadpool 3 is notoriously rumored for already lining up a huge number of cameos that are all not related to Marvel.

When asked about the possibility of referencing Spider-Man India in Deadpool 3 Soni expressed uncertainty. They are aware of it (Spiderman: Across the Spiderverse), but I would not dare tell Mr. Ryan Reynolds what to do. Whatever he does will be very good,” he added as per the tweet by Deadpool Update. He is trusting both Reynolds and the writers to make the best choices for the movie. Although Soni would be thrilled to witness the interaction between Spiderman India and Deadpool, he was unsure if such a crossover would actually occur.

Soni also offered his perspective on Deadpool 3 becoming part of the MCU and its potential impact on the tone and style of the film. He believed that the movie wouldn’t deviate drastically from the two installments maintaining its hard R rating with a blend of humor and action. Additionally, he eagerly anticipated seeing Deadpool’s interactions with other MCU characters and looked forward to the clever jokes he would make about them.

Ever since Marvel Studios declared the multiverse wide open, there has been a slew of opportunities and new characters storming in. The current slate of Marvel characters is already too vast for the studio to handle. We now have Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine too. Notably, Marvel Studios has been inconsistent with its latest few movies that have not lived up to MCU glory. However, this movie looks to end it all. Ryan Reynolds is also looking to include his soccer club Wrexham AFC members as cameos, which might come as a disagreement with Marvel Studios. Nonetheless, it is too early to predict.

However, the movie has hit a roadblock. The ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike has officially halted the movie’s production. A massive strike along with the Writers Guild of America has brought Hollywood to a standstill. It is now anyone’s guess as to when and how this movie will resume production. A delay seems inevitable now. Marvel had already pushed back its slate to better its VFX quality. Now this will push the release dates even further. Meanwhile, the lead stars are off on their respective breaks. While Ryan Reynolds is busy with Wrexham, his Deadpool 3 co-star and ‘rival’ Hugh Jackman is pursuing noble sports.
