In the realm of fashion and Hollywood glamor, Halloween always brings a spectacular display of creativity and style. With another season of spooktacular festivities, the world’s biggest stars have once again showcased their costume prowess. While the world has already seen everything the stars could throw at them, this year’s costumes have a lot of people confused over who could be crowned the king or queen of the costume party.
From Heidi Klum’s annual breathtaking transformations to Kendall Jenner’s fashion-forward flair, the competition for the title of the best Halloween costume seems to get a little bit fiercer with every passing year. This year, many fan favorites have already dazzled the social media world, and here are the top picks.

While celebrities are usually the ones who end up giving their fans inspiration for their costumes, sometimes they seem to take from each other as well. This year, some celebrities debuted their costumes at the annual Casamigos Halloween party over the weekend. However, other stars chose to show off their elaborate costumes on their social media pages. Either way, fans got the best of both worlds as they hopped online on the big day.
Heidi Klum kept up her tradition of an extremely elaborate costume
Over the years, model Heidi Klum has become known as the Queen of Halloween. For over two decades, she has been serving up ever-outlandish costumes that leave her hard to recognize. From Micheal Jackson’s werewolf from the ‘Thriller’ music video to last year’s creepy crawly worm, the 50-year-old has constantly outdone herself each year to earn the name. However, this year’s costume might be her most elaborate yet.
In a post on Instagram, the German-born icon stunned her fan following. She posted a picture of herself and a group of Cirque du Soleil performers dressed up as one whole peacock. While the dancers were made out to be a part of her costume, she stole the show in a blue suit complete with a beak and feathers poking out at the top of her head.
While that was the most effort fans had seen in a while, her husband, Tom Kaulitz also joined in. He complimented his wife’s costume by going as a peacock egg.
Adele’s Addams family tribute
Adele might be one of the best vocalists of our time, but she is also one of the funniest. Since 2016, fans have gotten to see the singer’s unique take on Halloween. From dressing up as Bette Midler’s character from Hocus Pocus to paying tribute to Jim Carey’s iconic film, The Mask, she has stunned fans with her costume creativity. However, this year, she channeled her inner Morticia Addams.
At her Las Vegas show, the star debuted the costume and completely embodied the dark and mysterious character. She even donned a long, jet-black wig to resemble the matriarch of the Addams family. The 35-year-old sang some of her biggest hits and even went viral for belting out her 2015 hit, ‘Hello’.
Hailey Bieber’s nod to the 2000s
Hailey Bieber and her husband, Justin Bieber, were considered this year’s Halloween inspiration after the Rhode launch outfit mishap. However, it seems that the star chose to go another way with her costume for the spooky season. She wore more than one costume this year, she started with a Pebbles Flintstones costume but did not stop there. While that may have been her first nod to 2000s pop culture, it was only the beginning of her costumes for the night.
In a post on her Instagram account, the 26-year-old could be seen sporting a classic Carmen Electra look. She dressed up as the star of the parody film, Scary Movie. She chose the scene where Electra’s character Drew is being attacked by Ghostface. While the killer was missing from the frame, everything else was perfect, she stood in the backyard as sprinklers went off.
Thankfully, she did not gatekeep her secrets to attaining the iconic look and even gave fans a look at how she did it in a YouTube video.
Ed Sheeran transformed into another iconic redhead
While the world may have expected the ‘A-Team’ singer to go as Ron Weasley with their uncanny similarities, the 32-year-old chose to go with another iconic red-headed character. He ended up making horror fans squeal with delight when they saw that the artist was bringing back the vicious serial killer, Chucky from the Child’s Play horror films.
Sheeran shared his costume on Instagram and gave fans quite the scare. Although his costume was based on the current Chucky TV series, he stole the hearts of all his horror fans. In the pictures, he could be seen with a creepy smile which perfectly depicted the character’s wickedness. While this might have been many people’s first time seeing the character, there is no doubt that it was a costume they will never forget.
Jack Harlow went as a beloved Marvel character
Jack Harlow may have dropped off the grid for a while, but that has not stopped him from continuing to release music. However, this Halloween, the musician made a big comeback with a surprising costume of a Marvel character. He dressed up as Hugh Jackman’s character from the X-Men franchise, Wolverine. The costume even featured the razor-sharp claws that the character is known for.
While his costume may not have been as elaborate as the rest, he stole the show with his nod to Hugh Jackman’s character. The world thought they had said their goodbyes to him went the franchise ended up killing the character in Logan, but thankfully, Ryan Reynolds brought him back for Deadpool 3 and Horlow brought him back as a Halloween costume.

Mariah Carey transformed into the sultry Jessica Rabbit
The iconic singer, Mariah Carey stuck to her classic roots. After paying an ode to Mean Girls‘ Regina George, she decided to go a little further back in time. While she might be the queen of Christmas, the 54-year-old proved that she could give Heidi Klum a run for her money. For her costume this year, the star dazzled her fans as she took on the iconic cartoon character from Disney’s Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
She donned the classic sultry red dress and purple gloves that the character is known for and even added a pair of sparkly red stilettos to complete the fit. Carey was so in character that she even mimicked Rabbit’s signature poses for her Instagram pictures.

While most would have taken it to be just another sexy flight attendant costume, Spears fans knew exactly where she had taken her inspiration from.

The 44-year-old posted pictures on Instagram of her copying her sister, Kim’s most iconic 2013 Met Gala outfit. She donned a floral, long-sleeved gown which the 43-year-old had worn while she was pregnant with North West. The look was so perfect that even the SKIM mogul could not help but share it on her Instagram story.

Over the years, fans have seen Kylie Jenner dressed as every character or star they could think of. While fans were expecting another family Halloween costume, this year she teamed up with her sister, Kendall Jenner to bring Sugar & Spice from Batman Forever to life.
The 26-year-old spooked fans with her all-black bodysuit adorned with silver skulls and even a pair of fishnet stockings. She even donned a puffy red and black wig to pull the Spice look together. Whereas Kendall wore all white to enhance her appearance as Sugar. She even used the same Marilyn Monroe blonde wig for the outfit. The sister ended up showing off their costumes on Instagram and stunned all their followers.
Meghan Fox and MGK went as Kill Bill characters

Following up on last year’s Halloween fail, Meghan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly were out to make up for their mediocre cosplay costumes of Link and Zelda. This year, instead of giving fans a look into their weird side, the couple dressed up as characters of the Kill Bill franchise. They went as Chiaki Kuriyama’s Gogo Yubari and Uma Thurman’s Bride from Quentin Tarantino’s 2003 film.
While Fox wore a black wig and a schoolgirl costume to achieve the look of the assassin, Kelly sported a yellow jumpsuit that Thurman had worn in the film. Both the stars added a little fake blood to their costumes to make it more realistic and give it that gruesome effect that it is known for. Their costumes may have gone against the guidelines set by the SAG-AFTRA, however, it still managed to steal the show.
