Ahead of the People’s Choice Awards, Ryan Reynolds Urges Fans to Stop Shania Twain From Bullying Him
Ryan Reynolds recently proved that he is no stranger to being bullied. While the actor has done his fair share of bullying on the big screen and social media with his friends and wife, Blake Lively, he once ended up being trolled by the iconic Shania Twain. Although the incident had taken place nearly 2 years ago, both the stars brought the moment back into the spotlight.
While they may have brought it back, it was not to be relived. Instead, it was the singer’s way of announcing that she has been nominated for the People’s Choice Award.

In a recent story on Instagram, Ryan Reynolds reposted another story from Shania Twain. She has been nominated for a People’s Choice Award and has promised fans to “stop bullying” the actor if they voted for her. The singer even posted a video of her 2022 performance at the award show where she referenced the father of four. In his re-post, the 47-year-old captioned the video saying “I WISH this was how bullies expressed themselves when I was in high school.”
The Adam Project star even added that a vote for Twain would be “a vote for love” as he urged fans to support her. The two stars have only crossed paths once before. It happened 2 years ago when both of them had made their way to the same award show. That was the night that the now 58-year-old had taken aim at Reynolds for the very first time and shocked the world.
While they may have completely leaned into the joke, no one could ever forget the actor’s reaction to the Queen of Country Pop’s sudden lyric change.

Back in 2022, Shania Twain did the unthinkable. She changed the lyrics to one of her most famous songs, ‘Don’t Impress Me Much’, to include Ryan Reynolds. The original lyric referenced Brad Pitt as he was the heartthrob back in the late 1990s. During her performance at the People’s Choice Awards, the Canadian singer sang, “Okay, so you’re Ryan Reynolds, that don’t impress me much.”
The change in words came after Reynolds had begun his Hollywood takeover with Deadpool and his other projects. While everyone in the room was shocked at the sudden lyric change, the actor seemed overjoyed to be getting a shout-out from the star. The moment ended up being one of the most memorable of the year, as no one had seen it coming.
