Ryan Reynolds Unlocks Another British Football Legend for Wrexham?
There is a reason why the pride of Welsh, Wrexham AFC, was handed over to Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. And there is a reason why Ottawa Senators and its supporters are excited for the Deadpool actor to purchase it. Most of it boils down to Reynolds’ vision and his highly successful plan of action. He picked up a club that many considered to be way down in the system and brought it up not only in the league, but also in popularity. And this rise has gained the interest of many—especially legendary football players.
Wrexham AFC managed to make a long-anticipated leap thanks to the return of legendary yet retired football player Ben Foster. And as Reynolds gives him a promise of a Deadpool 3 cameo, there is another known legend of British football who has declared himself ready to mingle only with Wrexham.

The affinity of legendary British football players to Wrexham AFC following Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s big overtake is akin to that of a Trainer catching Pokémon with the Deadpool actor being the trainer. It has barely been a month since Gareth Bale hinted at joining Wrexham FC and now even Morten Gamst Pedersen has made his intentions very clear. Unlike Bale, who seemed playful, Pederson said “Yeah, I would love to.” he told Sports Bible when asked about joining the Red Dragons.
Not only did the legendary Blackburn cult hero make clear that he would love to join, but also gave fans instructions on how to make it possible.
“Maybe if you tag me in a social media post, Ryan Reynolds could read this, and we get a chance to meet…” While Reynolds is yet to respond, who would reject a star player who has scored 47 goals in 348 games?
Can Pedersen be the midfielder for Wrexham AFC?
Pedersen through the decades has left everybody gaping at just how strong his left foot is. Although associated with Rovers for the longest time, the player turned a new page as he joined Ranehim for a one-year deal. Something very close to that of Wrexham and Ben Foster.

Through his game in the recent season, he has shown what a brilliant sport he is as a midfielder. And while Wrexham FC has just scored a promotion, it does not plan to stay in League 2 of EFL for long. If, along with Ben Foster, Morten Gamst Pedersen joins the club, it will only be a matter of time before Wrexham adds another promotion to its name.
