First stop Laghi di Fusine, Italy
After some uncertainty, it has been confirmed that filming for Season 3 of The Witcher will begin in Italy. More specifically, the Laghi di Fusine, a pair of beautiful lakes near the Slovenian border. Kranjska Gora will apparently not be used for filming because it just acts as a mini-hub for The Witcher team and a stable for the horses.
The filming here should not be more than two days as per the sources. After Italy, the cast will march on towards the south.
Shooting to continue at Predjama Castle
Reportedly the cast and crew will hit record at the beautiful Predjama Castle on the 4th and 5th of April. Now we are not sure whether the sequences shot are of the interior of the castle or the exterior. Nonetheless, it is a beautiful location.
