Just in time for the holidays, Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell starred in the musical comedy Spirited. The movie is a modern adaptation of the classic Charles Dickens tale, A Christmas Carol. The Canadian has played varied roles before but had never appeared in a musical before. He plays a Scrooge-like character, while Ferrall plays the ghost of Christmas past. 

After a limited theatrical release, the movie bowed on Apple TV+ on November 18. The actor not only delivers punches but also some seriously high notes in the musical number. The platform has been promoting the movie with a rather creative ad that features a new optimized Ryan doll! 

The new Ryan Reynolds dolls have a 3X emotional range and eye bags 

The advertisement showcases a new Ryan Reynolds doll that features a 3X emotional range. “Is he funny? Confused?” With a new 3X emotional range, the Ryan Reynolds Plus can be any of those things at any time,” Will described the new doll.  Although the doll does look strikingly similar to Ryan, his co-star Octavia Spencer noted that “complexity” in the eyes gives it away.

The leg pulling did not stop there. Will further added that they had to cover up his “hideous face” with a beard. Plus, the makeup team had to work on his eyebags. Ryan was taking in the insults quite well, until the last remark. He exclaimed that having three kids does that to a person before storming off! 

Even if the actor was feigning annoyance, there is some truth to it. Fatherhood is hard and parenting three is quite a task. But Ryan’s life is going to get tougher and his day a lot busier when his fourth child arrives. Although the couple has not revealed the gender, Ryan for one, is hoping it’s a girl.

Adding to it, the Senator’s bid is heating up, and he is also preparing to step into the Marvel fold for the first time. With Deadpool 3, not only will Wade Wilson enter Marvel, but he will also be bringing his good friend, Wolverine.
