After all the destruction of Earth, Jonas comes out from some rubble looking for his mother, aka boss. He finds out the comet, which has been the “star” of the film, has finally hit the Earth. Everyone has died. While standing in the destruction, Jonas played by Jonah Hill takes out his smartphone and starts vlogging. He claims to his audience, “I’m the last man on Earth. S—‘ all f—-d up. Don’t forget to like and subscribe. We out here.” In conversation with Variety, the creator of the film, Adam McKay explains it was a chilly day when this scene was filmed. Jonah Hill did amazingly in the scene, in a single take. He expresses, “I said, ‘Jonah, I’ve never done this in my life. But if you get this on one take, I won’t do another take.’ And then I went behind the monitor, and I was like, ‘I shouldn’t have said that.’ Because I always get a second or a third take.”

He even said Jonah Hill try to improvise the last scene by saying, “Like and subscribe, I’m the last man on Earth!’ “
