Demon Slayer Season 2: What will be the future of Hashiras?
One of the greatest shows of our times is Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. The show has everything one can ask for, heartfelt emotions, great action, an amazing score, and the best animation in any anime that we have seen. Last but not least, the show has exceptionally well-written characters. One such character whom we all look up to are the Hashiras (pillars). And there are some new reveals about the Hashiras in Demon Slayer season 2 ending.
Who is the new Hashira in Demon Slayer Season 2?

We saw some crucial plot points in the last episode of Demon Slayer, which concluded the brilliant Entertainment District Arc. We got to know the emotional back story of the two Upper Moons, Gyotaro and Daki, who were the main antagonists of the arc. Most importantly, we got a look at our new Hasira!
At the end of the episode, Snake Hashira, Iguro Obanai, approaches Uzui. Iguro begrudgingly congratulates Uzui on his win and still reminds him that he only fought an Upper Moon six and should get back to killing demons as soon as possible. However, Uzui refuses to join the Corps. Even after Iguro tells him that the spot of Ryengoku is yet to be filled and if Uzui leaves, they will have two Hashira spots that no one will fill as youngsters are not living long enough to become worthy of the Hashira title. Uzui still refuses to join(upholding the promise to his wives), saying it’s the next generation’s turn to serve.

Uzui was referring to Tanjiro as he is a youngster who can certainly replace Uzui as an upper-rank fighter. It is evident after the season 2 finale that as we are moving forward in the show, we can expect great things from Tanjiro, Zenitzu, and Inosuke, and they are the ones who are capable of reaching their fullest potential.
Ranks in the Demon Slayer Corps

Like any army Demon Slayer, it has its rank and a selection process. After clearing the Final Selection process, the candidates enter the Corp as the lowest rank of, Mizunoto. From there, they work up their way to becoming Kinoe. Kinoe are the strongest demon slayers; however, a separate status has been given to the elitist demon slayers known as Hashiras.
