Space Force Season 2 Will Land Soon on Netflix – Check Out the Release Date, Cast, Trailer, and More

It is a good day to be a Steve Carell fan, as the actor’s workplace comedy will return to Netflix. Michael Scott fans hope for a return of the iconic character, but Steve Carell is on another workplace comedy. Thus, fans of Space Force will rejoice as Netflix has announced the release date for season 2. So, let us look at the trailer and the changes in season two.

Space Force Season 2 trailer and release date

Netflix released the trailer on January 27, which featured the main cast and some new characters. In the trailer, we see General Mark Naird’s Space Force get another chance at redemption. But, the task force now has to militarize the space within just five months. The new administration does not seem to affect the team in any other way as they continue with their routine.

The new season has more pranks, new relationships, and above all, a conviction-lacking team tasked with militarizing space. Season 2 looks more fun as the actors seem to have finally grown in their character. Space Force Season 2 will premiere on February 18, so fans have to wait for less than a month.

The cast and crew behind Space Force

The cast of season 2 has all the main folks of the team, and also some additions. The following stars feature in the military workplace comedy:

  • Steve Carell
  • John Malkovich
  • Ben Schwartz
  • Tawny Newsome
  • Diana Silvers
  • Jimmy O. Yang
  • Don Lake
  • Lisa Kudrow
  • Tim Meadows

The trailer only showcased one new addition in Patton Oswalt as a lone astronaut. But there might be more new faces that Netflix does not want to reveal yet. Thus, fans have another thing to look forward to.

The list of additions does not stop with actors. In fact, actor Jimmy O. Yang has joined the writers for season 2. Steve Carell is the creator of the series with Greg Daniels. However, the two acknowledged the low rating for season one and have sorted out the issues in season 2. Norm Hiscock has joined Daniels as a co-showrunner, and Ken Kwapis will direct the entire season.

Thus, fans and the creators will hope that season 2 achieves high ratings and viewership. Or else the series will become a victim of Netflix’s cancellations because of less viewership.
