Netflix has surprised us with many new shows. While some of them have already made a special place in our hearts, we still miss those shows that we used to love to watch before they went off the air. Some of them have ended, and Netflix has not renewed the others. Shows like Money Heist and Lucifer ran for over five seasons and ended on a good note. However, other shows were suddenly canceled. Let us discover which shows were cancelled by Netflix in 2021.

1. Dash and Lily

The young adult romantic-comedy series of Netflix was like by the fresh audience. The theme of the show is where two young adults fall in love with each other while messaging each other through a notebook. The series won a Daytime Emmy Award. Only after its season one, Netflix crashes our hopes by canceling the show in October 2021.

2. Bonding

Bonding is a dark comedy show, comprised of two seasons that were premiered on Netflix on April 24, 2019, and the show is loosely inspired by the personal experience of creator Rightor Doyle. The plot of the show develops around two best friends, Tiff and Pete, graduate students who involve themselves in the dominatrix business. Tiff moonlighting as a dominatrix and Pete was her assistant.

Only after two seasons, the show was canceled in July 2021.

3. Cursed

Inspired by the legend of King Arthur, a fantasy drama series titled Crushed, starring Katherine Langford as Nimue. Nimue has mysterious powers, and with the sword, she becomes a real warrior. Her journey from a lady to a warrior glued to the audience.

But, after only season 1, Netflix canceled the show in July 2021.

4. Mr. Iglesias

 Mr. Iglesias is an American sitcom that was released on June 21st, 2919, starring Gabriel Iglesias and Kevin Hench. Season 1 was an enormous hit, so Netflix released another season in July 2020. The show developed around Mr. Iglesias, a good-natured high school teacher, who protects gifted but misfit kids by a bully bureaucrat Assistant-Principal and helps to explore their full potential and interest.

5. Country Comfort

Country Comfort is a comedy show by Caryn Lucas that premiered on Netflix on March 19, 2021. The plot develops around a jobless singer Bailey, to meet the daily needs she took up the job as a nanny in a talented musical family. But, to her surprise, she found the band of her dreams, a Cowboy and his five children.

They canceled the show after season one in July 2021.

6. Grand Army

Grand Army is a teen television series by Katie Cappiello that premiered on Netflix on October 16, 2020. The show was inspired by Cappiello’s Slut: The Play. The plot of the show develops around five teenagers as they explore their sexuality, racial politics, and financial issues, and fight with everybody coming on their way. The show was canceled by Netflix after one season in June 2021.

7. The Duchess

Starring Katherine Ryan, a story of a single mom who’s thinking about having a second child. But unfortunately, there will be no second season for the second child. Netflix axed up our hopes about getting a second season. Katherine Ryan claims, “Not enough people watched it. I’m not terribly sad about it. I feel like it’s a whole lot of work, a lot of time to make a sitcom. I was so grateful to be able to make it, but I think it speaks for itself.”

8. Dead To Me

After going on for three seasons, Netflix ended the show Dead to Me. The rollercoaster ride for two friends, including murder and mystery has ended. The executive producer of the show Christina Applegate tweeted, “We felt this was the best way to tie up the story of these women.”

11. Dad Stop Embarrassing Me!

Dad Stop Embarrassing Me is a comedy television series by Jamie Foxx and Jim Patterson that premiered on Netflix on April 14, 2021. The plot develops around a single dad, who figures out what fatherhood actually is, after his teenage daughter move in with him.

With a lot of our favorite shows canceled by Netflix, we can still watch a lot of new shows that are coming up on Netflix.
