Bridgerton Showrunner Chris Van Dusen Shares the Playlist of Bridgerton Season 2 – Stay Tuned for Harry Styles, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, and Madonna Among Others

Fans of Netflix’s Bridgerton, it’s time to grab your dance partner and dance in the romantic songs of Bridgerton season 2. You will get a surprise when you will realize who all are bringing soothing music to our ears. Netflix Tudum finally offers the official list of instrumental pop covers which all are present in Bridgerton Season 2. You will be shocked to know how many big stars are involved with their work. In a conversation with Tudum, the creator of the show, Chris Van Dusen claims he chose the songs because they are incredibly powerful and emotional in their own unique way. He also added, “I always try many different songs for anyone’s scene before landing on the perfect one to use. This season, I couldn’t be more thrilled about our musical playlist.”

Justin Kamps breaks down Bridgerton’s songs

The streaming platform has officially confirmed that season 2 is coming to our screens on March 25th, 2022, with a new story. It has taken inspiration from Julia Quinn’s novels. This time the creators are bringing the story of Anthony Bridgerton, the elder brother of the Bridgerton siblings. The platform is all ramping up to us with excitement by releasing photos, tweets, and trailers from the show.

Recently, Netflix tweeted a photo of Anthony and Kate, where he is trying to teach him shooting. The photo captioned it as, “Bridgerton fans, those gorgeous orchestral covers are back in Season 2! Harry Styles, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Madonna, and Alanis Morissette are just a few of the artists you should keep an ear out for.”

Bridgerton season 1 delighted us with the music of Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy,” Ariana Grande’s “Thank U, Next,” Shawn Mendes’ “In My Blood,” and, lest we forget, the Duke of Hastings and Daphne Bridgerton’s honeymoon montage set to the sounds of Taylor Swift’s “Wildest Dreams.” In an interview with Tudum, Justin Kamps, the series’ music supervisor make sure that all the songs found a perfect place in season 2. Kamps claims Dusen gravitates towards pop songs, and as the style of the show, pop music is the best fit for it. Some songs will help us connect with the characters immediately.

Duomo and Vitamin String Quartet coming back in season 2 as well. Even there are a few songs that are currently unreleased, that we will hear for the first time.

Playlist of Bridgerton season 2

Kamps explains, “He did the cover of “Material Girl,” and — a first for Bridgerton — a cover of a Bollywood song called “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham,” which I’m really excited about. It’s an exquisite cover. You’ll be hearing a cover of “How Deep Is Your Love,” the Calvin Harris x Disciples track, and a cover of P!nk’s song, “What About Us” from Duomo, who did the Taylor Swift track [“Wildest Dreams”] last year that everyone was obsessed with. And we’ll also have a cover of “Diamonds” by Rihanna, which worked out beautifully.”
