While the ending of the WGA strike brought tremendous relief, Netflix started planning to move ahead with the anime adaptation of the supernatural drama. According to Redanian Intelligence, the streaming giant started preparing promotional material for The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep anime. This means that fans of the Witchcervserse can soon get teasers, trailers, attractive posters, and details of that sort.
This step, taken by Netflix, means the production of the anime might be closer to being finished. And the American OTT platform might announce the official date for the release soon. Of course, there will be a possibility that it might be announced at Netflix’s Geeked Week 2023. However, fans will have to wait and watch if that indeed happens.
Despite all the uncertainties, Studio Mir being behind the upcoming anime adaptation is certain. Studio Mir also worked with the creative team of The Witcher for the 2021 animated film Nightmare of the Wolf. While the previous movie was about Vesemir’s story, what exactly will the upcoming anime be about?

Based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s tales, The Witcher instantly became a fan-favorite series on Netflix. To explore the White Wolf’s world deeply, the anime creators picked the short story, A Little Sacrifice. Christina Wren, who also appeared in Man of Steel (2011), will be the voice of Essi Daven. Joseph Trapanese will provide music for the anime once again who also worked with The Witcher seasons 2 and 3.
Apart from this thrilling adaptation, a prequel, The Witcher: Riff Raff is also in its post-production phase. Although the length of the prequel is a mystery, it could be as short as 4 episodes as the production. However, one thing is certain: the exploration of the Witcherverse will bring a lot of adventures. Now, all everyone can do is wait for further updates about the ever-expanding universe.
