This upcoming movie also directed and written by Zack Snyder. The American film director and screenwriter had released superhero movies such as 300 Spartans and Watchmen. He also has directed DC Extended Universe’s first Superman movie, Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Justice League.

Zack Snyder: “I am recently excited to have the opportunity to collaborate with Netflix once again as we expand the Army of the Dead universe. The universe expands both with an international prequel movie and a series that explores the visually dynamic world of animation. It was a great collaboration with Netflix. We are delighted that the Army of the Dead attaches just as much importance to the Army of the Dead as a proprietorship as we do.”

The film will be directed by Grimme Award winner Matthias Schweighöfer. The film is about the story of the actor’s character in the TV series “Ludwig Dieter”. It’s about a group of mercenaries who travel to Las Vegas, Nevada, where the zombies have invaded and try to commit the biggest heist ever attempted. Also, the production of the movie takes place in Germany.

The anime series Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas tells the story of Scott and his rescue team coming face to face with the mysterious source of the zombie epidemic during the first fall of Vegas. Zack Snyder will be directing 2 episodes of the anime series and, Jay Oliva will be directing the other 2 episodes.
