Netflix announced the long-awaited You season 3 release date. The hit TV series will return with 10 new episodes before 2021 ends.

There is no doubt that You is one of the most popular and successful series on the platform. The show received millions of views around the world with its first season. And with the highly-anticipated season 2 and its great finale, the show has managed to create a solid fanbase.

After binge-watching the first two seasons over and over again, fans finally have a release date for the third installment. The wait is almost over as Netflix announced the release date on its YouTube channel with a minute-long video.

The story of Joe Goldberg will continue after that twisting finale. The fans have been waiting for more than a year to finally get their hands on the new episodes.

Do not worry though as the official release date of the third season is Friday, October 15th, 2021. We will get to stream the new episodes of the new season in a couple of weeks.

The streaming giant shared a new video to tease the fans for the upcoming season. The protagonist Joe accompanies the teaser with his soothing yet creepy voice. He gives a monologue and talks about his soon-to-be-born baby. The obsessed serial killer also names his baby while making a cake. And the video ends with a shot, showing the slice of cake that has the release date on it.

We know that the baby’s mother is Love. And Joe says the following “A boy is not what we expected but I would be lying if I said the thought of a mini-me was purely exciting and not without challenges. 

So what should I call you? A name that must be strong but not very intimidating. It should be classic, but it should not be basic. It should also be literary as you will grow up in a house full of books. Henry. Choosing your name will be my first decision to offer you the best life possible. To protect you and to shape who you will become. Who are you going to be, Henry?”

The showrunner of the hit TV series said that the new episodes will be much more exciting and they will be “f*cking bonkers“. In an interview given back in April, we already knew that the third season will open a new page in Joe’s life. He is now with Love and he keeps saying that he is ready to change. Though we know that no matter how hard he tries to hide his dark side, he is an obsessed and twisted serial killer. Seeing him as a father will be very interesting as well. And his partner Love is no different than him.

Netflix confirmed that the new season will come with 10 episodes. We do not know whether there is going to be the fourth season, though. We will learn about that after the third season finally drops on October 15, 2021.
