Did you know it was not entirely a flowery experience for Smith to make the movie? However, he seemed to enjoy it for sure.

New Yorkers hated Will Smith for shutting down the busiest streets

In a press conference back in 2007, Smith confessed how they shut down six blocks of the fifth avenue in the city on a Monday morning for their shoot. It sure was a result of poor management, but it created the much-needed eerie environment for the movie. Smith then says that people swore a lot on his name and that he felt F-U was his name.

“Shooting in New York, especially something on this level, is difficult. I would say, percentage-wise, it’s the most amount of middle fingers I have received in my career,” he said. “I’m used to people liking me, it’s like fun. Middle fingers, I was starting to think F-U was my name.
