Will ‘Russian Doll’ Season 2 Be on Netflix in 2021?

Many fans wonder if Russian Doll season 2 is going to be released on Netflix this year, let’s check out the details that we got.

Russian Doll is a rather awkward sci-fi, in which the lead character, played by Natasha Lyonne, is in a time-loop, reliving the same day over and over. The first season of this series was enjoyed by a huge amount of viewers, leaving them with questions as to when the series will go on with a second season. 

Concerning whether there will be a season two for Russian Doll, we know that producers announced it back in June 2019, so it’s certain that we’re going to see a new season. Also, Emmy winner Annie Murphy, who played Alexis Rose in CBC sitcom Schitt’s Creek, was announced to join Russian Doll‘s cast in March 2021.

The series tells of the awkward loop of Nadia, who is a video game developer with an edgy character. She dies again and again on the same day, and she attempts to learn what’s going on with her life in Russian Doll. What is the release date of ‘Russian Doll’ Season 2?

We do not have an official announcement concerning the release date of the second season of the popular Netflix sitcom Russian Doll, therefore it is impossible to give a certain date. We have some clues which can help us guess whether the new season of Russian Doll is going to be on Netflix this year, though. 

It has been reported that the production process for Russian Doll season 2 started in March 2021. Based on that, we can say the new season is not likely to be released this year, leaving us with a possible early-mid 2022 release date. We’ll see what happens with the production, and let you know when there is an update.
