Maid season 2 release date: When will it air?

With such huge popularity, fans have been impatient about the sequel. Unfortunately, Netflix has yet not revealed any dates for the second season. Moreover, since the beginning, the streaming platform has clarified that it will not be coming up with any sequel.

Given that the show is based on Stephanie Lang’s Memoir, there is no possibility of a second season. In the past, several platforms have taken up the responsibility to create a second reason, owing to the popularity. Shows like Big Little Lies and The White Lotus were renewed after they received popularity and several awards. At this point, we can only hope that Netflix listens to the fans and takes the step.

The creator of Maid, Molly Smith Metzler, has told Decider that she is up for a second season of Netflix’s Maid. She claims, “I will say that this is such a labor of love, this show. I’m in love with all these characters, and I could write to Alex for the rest of my life. You know, she’s just in my heart. But I do feel like we tell her story, so I’m not sure what that would look like.”

She also added, “I do think there’s a lot of maids out there, there’s a lot of domestic workers who are experiencing stories that are as bad, if not worse than, Stephanie Land’s. I think it would be very exciting and a dream world to get to see a different maid’s story in another season. Someone from a totally different geographic with totally different life experience and who probably is a mom.”
