Despite the fans thinking otherwise, Bridgerton season 2 has not started filming as of now, Nicola Coughlan says.

Bridgerton has been immensely successful with its first season on the popular streaming platform Netflix. Acquiring many fans with its wild success, Bridgerton is going to be back on Netflix with a season 2, which is waited for by a huge number of fans. This being the case, everyone gets excited when they see an update on the production of Bridgerton’s second season.

Bridgerton season 2 hasn’t started filming

This drama series star Luke Newton did something to spark that interest of fans, posting a photo from Bridgerton’s first season including him and Luke Thompson, described as “The boys are back in town”. Those photos of Bridgerton’s onscreen brothers Benedict, Anthony, and Colin excited many fans with its description.

People thought that the filming of the season started because of that description, but it turned out this was not the case. A tweet posted by Bridgerton’s Penelope Featherington, Nicola Coughlan, showed that the filming is yet to start.

Even though it’s saddening to learn that Bridgerton season 2 hasn’t started filming, we at least learned that the production process is going to start soon. Revealing that the wigs and dresses are yet to be made, Nicola Coughlan said that it’s soon.

What should we expect from Bridgerton season 2?

In season 2 of the popular series of Netflix, Bridgerton, the spotlight will be on Lord Anthony Bridgerton, who will be searching for a viscountess. Even though the main focus is on Anthony, there will be storylines of the other siblings that will be shown in the second season of the series. We also know that many new characters are going to be introduced in the second season. Bridgerton’s showrunner Chris van Dusen earlier said that, according to Deadline.

“We have a bunch of new characters we are going to be introducing. Anthony is going to have a love interest next season, and I think it’s going to be as sweeping and moving and as beautiful as viewers of the first season have come to expect from the show.”
