Dave Wasson’s efforts paid off as the Netflix cartoon, The Cuphead Show! is getting quite a positive response! The show’s animation and the narration harken back to the golden age of American animation. Based on a game of the same name, fans were in anticipation for the animated series to arrive. With season 1 just concluding, will there be a second season 2 of The Cuphead Show!?
The Cuphead Show! follows the misadventures of its titular character Cuphead and Mugman. The two brothers get themselves involved with ghosts and a Devil who is out for their souls. Featuring a light hearted tone, the low key animation landed well with both kids and adults. But the first season 1 was too short and left the fans with a cliffhanger to ponder about.

The Cuphead Show season 2 date speculation
With the series ending with a cliffhanger, the creators did not have any intention to end the series. Rather the opposite. Even before the show was slated for a release on the streaming platform, Netflix had announced its renewal. The executives on top have already greenlighted two more seasons of the series. Both the seasons could be a 12 part series but nothing is official yet. Speculations are rife that The Cuphead Show! Season 2 will be arriving in 2023 and not before that. It will be released right after the launch of the follow-up game: Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course.
The show’s Season 2 narrative
As it turned out, The Devil was not very smart after all. Cuphead and Mugman easily tricked him and escaped from his grasp with their souls. The brothers had previously bet their souls to The Devil at the Carnival. Having escaped, their misadventures don’t end. They met Chalice, and asked her to be their partner in crime. Not knowing that they were inviting trouble. Chalice is manipulative and uses her devilish charms to get her way. When their plans go awry, Chalice escapes leaving the brothers on their own. The finale ends with the two getting arrested. Season 2 of The Cuphead Show! is likely to take the story forward.
