Love, Death & Robots is going to be back with its second season on May 14th, 2021. But when can we expect season 3 for this animated sci-fi anthology?

Love, Death & Robots is an excellent animated sci-fi anthology. A Netflix original released back in March 2019, it has been immensely popular ever since. After the brilliant first season, fans started to wait for a new season. It took a pretty long time. But finally, Netflix announced that the second season of Love, Death & Robots was going to be released on May 14th with its official trailer.

The official trailer also confirmed that there was going to be a third season. However, there was only a broad release window for the third volume. It is apparent that we’ll have to wait for the third season after finishing the supposedly great second season. But when is it going to be released on Netflix?

Unfortunately, the next volume of Netflix’s beloved sci-fi anthology isn’t going to be out in 2021. In the official trailer that confirmed Volume 2’s release date, Netflix announces that Love, Death & Robots season 3 -or volume 3- is coming in 2022. Even though we’ll have to wait at least seven months, we’re fortunately sure of a new season coming in a set release window. This was not the case with the second season. Love, Death & Robots fans had to wait for much longer for this unanticipated trailer for the second installment of this anthology. You can check out the second volume’s trailer below.

The series tells us a whole different story in every episode. Even the production style is different in every entry. There are some realistic animations in certain episodes, while we literally watch anime in some entries. This is what makes the animated shows really unique. You can think of it as an animated Black Mirror with a wider range of topics to touch on.
