But there is a story behind how Cavill achieved the body he has today and has also perfected it over the years.

Henry Cavill recalls how being called ‘chubby’ changed his life

Given the countless display of abs and broad shoulders, it comes as a surprise to think that Henry Cavill was once chubby. Furthermore, the actor revealed that he used to be a bit on the chubby side when he was a kid. He was even teased by his classmates, who called him Fat Cavill.

We are sure everyone would love to see the look on their faces now as Henry Cavill bags one blockbuster with his amazing physique. He decided to take care of himself by taking part in school productions and playing sports. The year was 2015 when Henry Cavill was named the final choice for the Bond franchise. Eventually, Daniel Craig was chosen. Cavill received a comment during this audition that changed his life.

Martin Campbell, director, and producer, commented, “Looking a little chubby there, Henry,” the actor revealed while speaking to Edward Cooper. At that time, Henry did not know the A, B, and C’s of dieting or training but realized that he had to work harder after the director’s remark. “I respond well to the truth. It helps me get better,” said Cavill on Cambell’s remark.

Kudos to the actor for using the comment to make himself stronger. Now, Cavill is the Chief Creative Officer at a sports supplements brand and the face of peak fitness. ”I’m representing important characters here. I don’t want to be a dumpy Geralt or a fat Superman,” said Henry.
