Another South Korean series has landed on Netflix. Viewers are very excited and want to witness the science mystery fiction soon. The Silent Sea of Netflix was adapted from a short film, The Sea of Tranquility, written and directed by Choi Hang-yong.

Netflix is giving its subscribers the best content from all around the world, and South Korea has a variety of blockbuster series and films. For example, Squid Game, Hellbound, Kingdom, Sweet Home, and many more. Going by the trailer we are very sure that The Silent Sea will be another trending South-Korean show to hit Netflix.

The plot of The Silent Sea develops in the future where the Earth has undergone extreme water scarcity and a bunch of scientists and astronauts travel to the moon space station to find a solution.

The Silent Sea release date

The South Korean show, The Silent Sea, will premiere worldwide on Netflix on December 24th, 2021, i.e. Christmas eve. Netflix Geeked took to Twitter to reveal the release date. They wrote, “Get ready for THE SILENT SEA – a suspenseful sci-fi mystery set on a lunar base. The 8-episode series is arriving December 24, only on Netflix.”

The Silent Sea Season 1 will comprise eight episodes, forty-five minutes each.

In the cast of The Silent Sea, we will go to see a lot of similar faces from other South Korean shows. The cast includes Bae Donna as Doctor Song Jhi-an, an astrobiologist; Gong Yoo as Han Yoon-Jae, the exploration team leader; Lee Joon as Captain Ryoo Tae-Seok, head engineer; Heo Sung-Tae as Kim Jae-Sun, chief of Resource Group of Aviation Administration; Lee Moo-Saeng as Gong Soo-hyuk, head of the security team; and Kim Sun-young.

The official synopsis of The Silent Sea by Netflix read as, “Set in a future Earth that has undergone desertification, The Silent Sea is the story of the members of a special team sent to secure a mysterious sample from an abandoned research facility on the moon.”
