Netflix shared the official trailer for Vivo, which is a musical animation movie following a one-of-a-kind animal and its adventures.

Netflix will offer the viewers a brilliant animation movie in the following month. Titled Vivo, the movie will tell us about a kinkajou gifted in music. That kinkajou has to deliver a love letter to his owner’s old partner. In order to do that, Vivo has to go through some wild experiences packed with music. We’ll listen to brand new music from Lin-Manuel Miranda and watch a probably successful production when Netflix releases Vivo this August.

As Sony is the producer of this animation, expectations are sky-high. Previously, the entertainment giant produced another animation work for Netflix, namely, The Mitchells vs The Machines. It turned out to be a great success. Therefore, fans expect Sony to give us another good movie. We’ll see whether this will be the case this August.

Let’s check out the movie’s synopsis, cast, and release date.

The story of the movie will pretty much be all about what we mentioned so far. Still, if you want to know more about it, feel free to check what Netflix says.

“Vivo follows a one-of-kind kinkajou (aka a rainforest “honey bear”) who spends his days playing music to the crowds in a lively square with his beloved owner Andrés. Though they may not speak the same language, Vivo and Andrés are the perfect duo through their common love of music. But when tragedy strikes shortly after Andrés receives a letter from the famous Marta Sandoval, inviting her old partner to her farewell concert with the hope of reconnecting, it’s up to Vivo to deliver a message that Andrés never could: A love letter to Marta, written long ago, in the form of a song. Yet in order to get to Marta, who lives a world apart, Vivo will need the help of Gabi – an energetic tween who bounces to the beat of her own offbeat drum to fulfill his owner’s wishes.”

Vivo has a big cast behind it.

Kirk DeMicco and Brandon Jeffords are the co-directors of the movie.

Peter Barsocchini, Kirk DeMicco, Quiara Alegría Hudes, and Lin-Manuel Miranda make up the writing team.

Lin-Manuel Miranda is active on all fronts such as writing, voice acting, and music.
