We now know another lead in The Witcher: Blood Origin, and he is no one other than Laurence O’Fuarain, who played Hakon in Vikings. Netflix is making a prequel to its popular The Witcher series.
Based on the games and the novels of the same name, The Witcher series starring Henry Cavill was a huge success for the streaming platform, and they announced The Witcher: Blood Origin, which is a prequel to the original series. The prequel will take place 1200 years before The Witcher, and will tell of the first Witcher, and the Conjunction of the Spheres, which is the event that led to monsters and humans living in the same world in The Witcher lore. To put it shortly, this new series will explain how the universe of The Witcher was born.
The Witcher: Blood Origin’s new lead: Laurence O’Fuarain
We already knew that Jodie Turner-Smith would be playing one of the lead roles in The Witcher: Blood Origin. The famous actress was announced to play the role of Éile, who is a warrior with a blessed voice. Now we know who Turner-Smith is going to be teaming up with, as it is announced that Irish actor Laurence O’Fuarain will be starring in the series in a major role as well. He previously appeared on Vikings, Game of Thrones, and Black 47. Though not playing in major roles in Vikings and Game of Thrones, Laurence O’Fuarain still manages to excite the fans of the Witcher universe.
Laurence O’Fuarain will be playing the role of a warrior who was born into a clash of clans, Fjall. He has a scar deep within though, as he lost a loved one in a war, and this memory forever haunts him.
