The Way of the Househusband has already gathered a big fan group. And not after too long, Netflix renewed the beloved anime for its second season as well. It has been announced that the anime series of Kousuke Oono will get an upcoming Part 2. So let’s find out more about The Way of the Househusband part 2 including its cast, release date, and more.

Netflix’s original anime series is produced by J.C.Staff and based on Kousuke Oono’s hit comedy same-named manga, The Way of the HouseHusband. It was first adapted into a live-action drama anime by Nippon TV back in 2020. It is directed by Chiaki Kon, with Susumu Yamakawa handling the series’ scripts. And now, Japan’s most evil yakuza came back to make the cutest househusband all over again as an original anime adaptation of Netflix following Tatsu’s journey from underworld legend to domestic bliss.

After being an epic and feared yakuza boss nicknamed “The Immortal Dragon”, Tatsu decides to retire from his gang to support his kyariaūman wife becoming his househusband. Before he quitted, The Immortal Dragon had used to strike fear in every police officers along with the criminals. But now, Tatsu tries to build himself a whole other life on an honest living, as a house husband to his wife Miku. And even for a fearful old yakuza boss, becoming a househusband can be a challenge as he must deal with kitchen mishaps and dreaded supermarket sales.

The original manga of the anime series is also currently ongoing, in the meantime. Its latest volume, the 7th one was published in March 2021, and it also continues so. This means there will be much more material to be adapted in the future along with season 2. And what is really good about this series is its relatively self-contained episodes, which makes it much more open to expansion as well. Also considering that the anime has nearly covered 26 chapters of the manga, which includes currently 69 chapters in total, why not? As we said, there is already too much material left to be handled for sure, and we are certainly counting on that.

Although the upcoming season was renewed by Netflix very soon after the show landed, there isn’t an official announcement for when The Way of Househusband Part 2 will come out yet. But considering the series was first announced in late October 2020 and premiered on April 8th. The Way of the HouseHusband part 2 will return and release in September 2021 if they will follow a similar production schedule.
