The Walking Dead fans have been waiting, the good news is here! The Walking Dead has officially been renewed for another season, season 11. Fans can now be excited for the eleventh year of the zombie apocalypse. We also have talked about season 10 here.

“The Walking Dead burst out of the gate ten years ago as a genre show that had all the character depth of a top-tier prestige drama,” said Sarah Barnett, former president of AMC networks entertainment group and AMC Studios.

Having the chance to watch season 11 is great news but it’s said that season 11 will be officially the last season of the series.

Season 11 will have 24 episodes and the first half will be airing in 2021. The second half would follow and air in 2022. The filming of season 11 has still not started yet due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The cast is known to return to filming this month.

“We were about a week and a half out at the point which California shut down,” Kang told ComicBook.

Daryl (Norman Reedus), Carol (Melissa McBride), Ezekiel (Khary Payton), Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), Rosita Espinosa (Christian Serratos), Father Gabriel Stokes (Seth Gilliam), Magna (Nadia Hilker), Lydia (Cassady McClincy), and Yumiko (Eleanor Matsuura), and others will be returning in season 11. Also, Connie is still alive which means Lauren Ridloff will be back, and there’s also Maggie, Lauren Cohan.
