Lucifer Synopsis

The show takes its name from the protagonist around whom the series revolves, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis). He is the DC Universe's version of Devil, also known as Samael or The Lightbringer. After being dissatisfied with his sulking life in hell, he abandons his throne, retiring to the city of Los Angeles. There he runs a nightclub called Lux and enjoys a lavish lifestyle around women, wine, and songs.

In front of his nightclub, an old acquaintance's murder awakens sympathy and compassion in the otherwise non-bothered fallen angel. Further, after meeting a homicide detective, Chloe Decker (Lauren German), who still possesses humanity and righteousness, Lucifer transforms from within. He starts to wonder if there's still a soul left in him. Working with the LAPD and Chloe, he then punishes sinners.
