Clickbait is a gripping, high-stakes drama that examines how social media fuels our most dangerous and uncontrollable urges. It highlights the ever-widening chasms that exist between our virtual and real-life personalities. It also focuses on digital evils like photo leaks, catfishing, etc.

Clickbait Netflix Plot / Synopsis
The Netflix logline of the show reads, "When family man Nick Brewer is abducted in a crime with a sinister online twist, those closest to him race to uncover who is behind it and why."

Nick Brewer is a family man – a loving father, husband, and brother. He disappears suddenly under mysterious circumstances. Later, a video starts circulating over the Internet of a badly thrashed Nick holding cards. He appears holding placards that read, "I abuse women," among other criminal confessions. The last one reads, "At 5 million views, I die."

A threat, or a confession, becomes the course of the rest of the series. A struggle to save Nick leads to chilling discoveries. Brewer's family and Nick's close people rush to find him and the culprit before things go wrong. While his sister and wife try to find and save him, they unearth a side of Nick that no one knew existed.

The episodes are titled on the relations of different people in the series with Nick. Each episode follows the perspective of the highlighted character until reaching the last episode, "The Answer."
