According to Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard, season 4 will be the darkest season ever to be released in 2021. Every season of the show gets fans excited about what will happen next. After the mysterious events that had happened at the end of season 3, season 4 is being waited in excitement.

In an interview, that Finn Wolfhard gave to CBC Listen on February 12, he made some comments on the new season that is being filmed now! The Finn Wolfhard who plays Mike Wheeler in the show provided an update on what fans can expect from the series’ return.

Finn Wolfhard revealed his thoughts about season 4: “Every season gets darker. I will say that with season three I was like, ‘This is the darkest season that there’ll ever be’, exploding rats and everything. But really, season four so far… it’s the darkest season that’s ever been made. Every year it gets amped-up; every year it gets funnier, darker, and also sadder. So I’m really excited for people to see it.” The actor also mentioned that he will go back to set in a few weeks adding: “I’m so excited for people to see it. It’s been a long go at it.”

We had mentioned before, that season 4 is still in the process of filming. Due to the pandemic, it had some delays and pauses. As for that, the filming of the series is continuing but Finn Wolfhard also commented by saying: “We’re still filming it. ‘Cause of the pandemic, we had to put it on hold, but now they’re back filming right now.”

As to give some more information about season 4 the actor also teased that some “pretty incredible new characters” will be added to season four. Also, despite the tragic end that had happened at the end of season three, David Harbour will be returning as Hopper in season 4!
