David Harbour commented on the production process of the highly anticipated Stranger Things season 4.

We’re getting more and more impatient for Stranger Things season 4 every day. It’s almost been two years since the last season premiered. Therefore, fans have many concerns about the show’s future, given the growing-up factor of the actors.

Fortunately, we’re learning more about the season as we get closer to the release date. The crew recently released a teaser for the fourth season, which gave us a glimpse of Eleven’s past. In addition to that, many actors from Stranger Things talk about the season and their expectations. We recently saw Maya Hawke say that the wait will be worth it.

Let’s hope it’s true, as Stranger Things season 4 still hasn’t finished filming. Actually, there seem to be at least two months until they can finish it. David Harbour, who plays Hopper in the series, made some remarks about the production process on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live. When asked about a possible wrap date, Hopper commented that they should be done around August.

When he was asked about the production status, David Harbour hesitated to give an exact answer, as they are not supposed to do it. Ultimately, he decided to give us a loose answer. Harbour also revealed that his scenes were almost done.

“I mean, you’re not supposed to say but I’ll tell you. Yeah, I’m almost done. I’ve got one more, like, little stint. We should be done in, like, August. I gotta shave again.”

David Harbour is known for his habit of breaking the rules and sometimes misdirecting the fans. He earlier faked his character’s death in an interview, which turned out to be false with the first trailer of Stranger Things 4. Moreover, he recently appeared on an Instagram live stream with Millie Bobby Brown, in which he supposedly read some lines from the script.

However, this claim of Harbour seems to be correct given the other actor’s reports about the production process.

First of all, we know that it’s going to be a dark season. The darkest season, to be precise. Finn Wolfhard said that in an interview.

Given the latest teaser, we can expect the writers to talk more about Eleven’s backstory.

All in all, it seems like we are underway for a great season. That’s because both Maya Hawke and Gaten Matarazzo said that the Duffer brothers had more time working on the scripts and details. Matarazzo also mentioned that Stranger Things season 4 would be a “thrilling ride.”

Some fans do not even care anymore after being kept waiting for so long. However, many viewers are waiting impatiently for the release of Stranger Things’ fourth season.

Netflix has not announced an official release date yet. However, we know that the new season is getting closer to finish filming. In addition to that, Finn Wolfhard told the fans that the next season would “hopefully” be out sometime in 2022.

If we assume they finish filming this August and do the post-production thingies for the next 7-8 months, we can expect an early-mid 2022 release. A 2021 release date is kind of ruled out, but there’s nothing to do. Let’s hope that the wait will be worth it, as Maya Hawke said.
