Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard releases a short film

Finn Wolfhard who plays Mike Wheeler in Stranger Things is a very active actor. He keeps himself busy by participating in a lot of different projects. He is the lead singer and also the guitarist for the alternative rock band named ‘Calpurnia’. He is also in a musical duo with The Aubreys which is a band that has a collaboration with Joe Keery (Steve Harrington in Stranger Things).

This past week, Finn Wolfhard uploaded his award-winning short film called Night Shifts to his YouTube channel. In the description of the video, and he wrote that “Thanks.” Also, this short film Night Shifts is written and also directed by Wolfhard. The film is at just under five minutes. It is produced by Bring Out Vinny Productions. For his work, Wolfhard won an award for Best Director at the Atlanta Shorts Festival in 2020.

The main premise of the short comedy is about a bored store employee who becomes the victim of a mysterious robbery. In the end, it turns out that the employee knows the robber because they went to the high school together. Night Shifts is a short film filled with emotions.

The short film even has its own Instagram account, @nightshiftsshortfilm. When Wolfhard shared it to his own Instagram account, he wrote: “Thank you to everyone who contributed to the making of @nightshiftsshortfilm. It took a village.”

Last year, Night Shifts was selected to be premiered at the Barcelona International Short Film Festival and on the Cleveland International Film Festival website. The cast of the short film features William Bryk (Wynonna Earp), Artoun Nazareth (The Conners), and Malcolm Sparrow Crawford (Home Before Dark).
