Netflix shared the teaser for its new romantic comedy Sounds Like Love, which has a heavy Fleabag vibe.

Netflix will give us another Spanish-language original work. Contrary to the majority of the popular Spanish Netflix originals, which are action series, this one will be a romantic comedy movie. It was formerly called We Were Songs. The popular streaming platform shared the teaser for its new movie, which was very well received by the fans.

In the teaser, we see a woman walking towards the camera, who runs into a friend. After exchanging hello’s, the man confesses that he’s thinking about her. Having a brief look at the man’s face, the woman turns directly to the camera, breaking the 4th wall, and says us “If this were a rom-com, it would start pouring right now,” only to be accompanied by an outbreak of heavy rain. After a brief shock, she turns to us again and says “Okay, if this really were a rom-com, I’d have jumped in his arms.” She looks at the man, and the teaser ends right there.

Fans who watched the video got a heavy Fleabag vibe, as apparent in the comments. Many of them think nothing can outdo Phoebe Waller-Bridge, but the teaser seems promising as well.

The movie will tell of a woman whose former love returns back to her life. Even though she knows she shouldn’t go back to him, Maca now has to confront her feelings. Here’s how Netflix describes its new romantic comedy.

“Fashion assistant Maca has just about got her life together after a devastating breakup, when Leo, the man who broke her heart returns. Seeking support from best friends, Adriana and Jime, all three will learn love can be complicated.”

Juana Macias is the director of this new movie. While the story is based on Elísabet Benavent’s novel, Laura Sarmiento Pallarés pens the script for Netflix‘s new rom-com. Here are some of the cast members, and the characters they will play.
