The trailer for Sounds Like Love, which is a Spanish-language Netflix original sitcom movie, is finally here.
Netflix is going to give us another Spanish work, and it seems it will be as interesting as the others. We’re used to watching action or thrillers such as Money Heist, Sky Rojo, or Who Killed Sara when it comes to Spanish works. However, this time we’ll see a sitcom movie, and the reactions up until now are pretty well.
The teaser shared earlier and the trailer shared now give off similar vibes to the fans. Many of them think that this movie is like an offspring of Fleabag, which is one thing to get excited about. We all know how popular Fleabag is, after all. Although it’s not easy to outperform Phoebe Waller-Bridge, it seems Maria Valverde will put on a good show for the fans in Netflix’s new romantic comedy.
The movie is titled Sounds Like Love. It will tell of a fashion assistant who finds herself devastated in all terms after her relationship comes to an end all of a sudden. She had such a special connection with that boy, after all. Much to our surprise, just when Maca was getting herself together, the ex-boyfriend appears out of the blue to make everything much more complicated. Maca will seek assistance from her two best friends, Adriana and Jime, while all of them will learn that love is complicated. The story is based on the novel of the same name by Elisabet Benavent.
Here’s the Netflix synopsis of Sounds Like Love.
“Fashion assistant Maca has just about got her life together after a devastating breakup, when Leo, the man who broke her heart returns. Seeking support from best friends, Adriana and Jime, all three will learn love can be complicated.”
The director of this movie is Juana Macias, who has experience working on various Spanish movies.
As we earlier mentioned, the writer of the original book is Elisabet Benavent. The scriptwriter of the movie, on the other hand, is Laura Sarmiento Pallares.
The star actress is Maria Valverde who will play Maca in the movie. Susana Abaitua and Elisabet Casanovas will respectively play her friends Adriana and Jimena.
The returning ex-boyfriend is Alex Gonzalez, who will breathe life into the character Leo in the movie.
We’ll see Miguel Herrera in the role of Luigi.
Other cast members include Eva Ugarte, Ignacio Montes, Artur Busquets, Claudia Galan, Roger Berruezo, Miri Perez-Cabrero, and Davinia Subira.
Sounds Like Love will globally and exclusively be on Netflix on September 29th. You can check out its trailer video below.
As one might expect, we see much more in the trailer than in the teaser. It shows us more important things about the storyline, particularly how Maca got devastated, and her relationship with Leo. Of course, we’ll learn everything when Netflix releases the movie at the end of this September.
