Improvisation has been a huge part of acting. Some of the most iconic and memorable moments in movies are the ones that were improvised, such as the “You Think I’m Funny?” scene from Goodfellas. One such scene was improvised in the newest season of The Umbrella Academy. And it included the amazing actor Justin H Min.

But now, the actor has apologized of sorts for the said scene. Let us see why the Ben Hargreeves playing actor had to apologize specifically to his Korean fans.

In The Umbrella Academy Season 3, David Castaeda and Justin H. Min fully improvised the scene in which their characters Diego and Ben Hargreeves argue in Spanish and Korean.

The scenario happens in Episode 8 of the current season, and it depicts Diego and Ben talking over what to do to avert the approaching tragedy brought by the Kugelblitz.

In the scene, both the actor start abusing each other in their respective languages. And now Justin tweeted to his Korean fans apologizing for his sloppy Korean profanity, promising he will do better next time.

It is undoubtedly a hilarious tweet that just escalates the already funny scene from the show.

What do the actors have to say about the scene?

Castaeda developed the idea for the sequence as the two were working through numerous variations of the action on site.

Explaining how the scene went down, Justin explained, “And then one of the takes, he just comes over and whispers to me, he’s like, ‘Hey, I’m going to start speaking Spanish, you should start speaking Korean.’ I was like, ‘Alright, let’s do this.'”

The duo was actually shocked when they got to know the scene was included in the final cut as they both thought it would get edited.

Min said, “We were shocked. We for sure thought it would hit the [cutting room floor].”

Diego Hargreeves and Ben are two of the most beloved characters in the series. And it is great to see that the actors off-screen have a great relationship too.
