SNL Star David Spade’s New Netflix Special : Nothing Personal Will Leave You With Tears of Laughter

The Saturday Night Live comedian turned actor, David Spade has come out with his own stand-up comedy episode. This is his first time on Netflix and first time out in the public since his 2014 stand-up release. Comedy aficionados know him for his sarcasm and self-deprecating humor.  The stand-up episode on Netflix comes long after we saw him on a late-night talk show, Lights Out with David Spade, almost 3 years ago. Shot in Minneapolis, the crowd not only bared witness to his legend but also laughed uncontrollably. The comedian extensively jokes about how hard the lockdown must’ve been for huggers, puh-fizer vaccines, d*ck sizes, wiggly pubes, pedophilia, cancel culture, weed, and a lemur mistaken for a jaguar. As the name itself suggests, Nothing Personal was everything terribly personal.

Even though Spade’s now a boomer, nothing about him seems uncool. He honestly seems too very fit for comedy and has still got it. It’s surely not easy to belong from the 90s and be updated enough not only to joke about things that are live i.e cancel culture, etc. but also, to be extremely funny about it.  But, for Spade, it’s seemingly natural.

How David Spade became a legend

David knew he wanted to be a comedian very early on in life. He dropped out of his university to pursue his dreams of a career in comedy. While he used to participate in comic plays right from his college days, he started doing it more avidly once he was out of college. It wasn’t long before he was discovered by a talent agent in LA while he was performing a stand-up comedy at The Improv. The rest is history.
