Oyamada discovers his abilities through a chance encounter. He is assigned to help You Asakura who has the goal to become the Shaman King. Asakura must participate in the Shaman fight to be crowned the next. The Shaman fight pits the strongest shamans in the world against each other to determine who will be crowned king.
