Shadow and Bone is an upcoming fantasy streaming television series. The series is developed by Eric Heisserer and 21 Laps Entertainment for Netflix. It is based on books from the Grishaverse Universe Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo.

This fantastic series ‘Shadow and Bone’ will begin with Alina Starkov, an orphan soldier, discovering a special power that can save her war-defeated country. But after everything, the final premiere date of Shadow and Bone and some photos from its shootings are finally shared for fans. Which I can say made us happy and bring the excitement back again for the show.

So it has been a while since we were expecting Netflix to release Shadow and Bone. The series was actually supposed to come in the 2020 holiday season. The expectations for the show were really high but because of the pandemic, the shootings had been delayed and that release date became impossible. But the series still seems to keep its claim. And now, we finally know exactly when we get to watch the series! Earlier this year, Netflix teased Shadow and Bone was coming in April. The premiere on Netflix will be on the 23rd of April.

Fans have the chance an early glimpse in Shadow and Bone with the shared photos. We can see some of the characters from the series, including Kaz “Dirtyhands” Brekker, which has been played by Freddy Carter. Kaz Brekker is a leader of a gang known as the Dregs. In the picture, we also see Inej Ghafa, Amita Suman, and Jesper Fahey, Kit Young. Inej Ghafa is a dangerous spy operating on behalf of the ragtag crew. And whose hand on his gun is Jesper Fahey and he is a sharpshooter.

We see Ben Barnes in a picture as General Kirigan, aka The Darkling. He is the power-hungry leader of the kingdom’s magical military regiment of Grisha soldiers, Second Army. Elsewhere, lethal Heartrender Nina Zenik, Danielle Galligan, and witch hunter Matthias Helvar Calahan Skogman, seem to get close with a hug. But right after, Grishaverse author Leigh Bardugo adjusted that situation and said they were on a collision course.

Inej is also shown holding one of her knives. We know that her knives are all named after saints. And another picture shows an embrace between Alina Starkov, Jessie Mei Li, the series’ central protagonist, and  Malyen Oretsev, Archie Renaux. Malyen is Alina’s childhood best friend. She is a gifted tracker and military man.
