Synopsis

Once an active group of knights in the region of Britannia, the Seven Deadly Sins were disbanded and outlawed from the country as they allegedly plotted to overthrow the Liones Kingdom. Even though the Holy Knights supposedly defeated them, rumors persisted that they were still alive.

Ten years later, the Holy Knights overthrew the king, capturing him after staging a coup to become the new tyranny of the kingdom. Hence, Elizabeth, the third princess, embarks on a quest to locate the Seven Deadly Sins and seek their assistance to reclaim the realm.

The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon’s Judgment

After remaining in the “Netflix Jail” for some time, the last season premiered on Netflix sooner than expected by anime fans.

Dragon’s Judgement is the latest season of the series. All 24 episodes of the season have been released on Netflix.

The Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed By Light

The Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed by Light is an upcoming Netflix Original anime movie. It will premiere on October 1st, 2021, and is a sequel to the series. This film was another reason why Netflix pushed ahead with the release of the Dragon’s Judgement episodes. Written by the manga writer Nakaba Suzuki and directed by Takayuki Hamana, the film will pick up from where the series ended.

New Season or Spinoff

The anime finished airing in Japan on June 23rd, 2021. Moreover, the fifth season has covered all the content of the manga. But, a good piece of information for fans is that there is a sequel to The Seven Deadly Sins manga. It is named Four Knights of the Apocalypse, written by the same person, Nakaba Suzuki.

The new film continues the story of the series, but if the new manga also gets adapted into an anime, we can expect a further continuation of the series. However, there is no official declaration of the adaptation yet.
