Russian Doll season 2 coming soon to Netflix. Here’s everything we know so far after the filming was the delayed at end of the March 2020. They already start filming and due to the pandemic, its production delayed to Fall.
Russian Doll is a Netflix Originals comedy-drama series also created by Natasha Lyonne, Leslye Headland, and Amy Poehler. The series first season premiered on February 1st, 2019. After this succesfull season, Netflix renewed for season 2. With this first season, its received four Primetime Emmy Award nominations, Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Natasha Lyonne. Also, the series inspired by ‘Groundhog Day’ movie.
When is the ‘Russian Doll’ Season 2 Netflix release date?
Still, there’s no official release date for season 2. But according to production status, we guess ‘Russian Doll‘ will release on Winter or Spring 2021. We also know the series already planned for another season 3. Natasha Lyonne also talks about his character and upcoming season:
“Amy and I were hanging out the other day, and it’s early days. We’re not in the room yet in any official way, but I will say that it does not become a show about dating in New York or anything like that – and no shade on those shows, but that’s not this show.” Also, she added another interview, “I’m pretty excited about some of our early conversations and to see where they really lead by the time we start putting pen to paper in a dedicated way, once we get back into the room. But the early notes are pretty heavy. ”
She added clues for season 2:
“What can I tell you? It’s… you want to jump off a cliff creatively… I think I’m going to give you a series of murky answers but suffice to say, I’m very moved that people are interested into the deep end and that was the revelation of Russian Doll connecting, so I guess my intention in our plans are to continue to dig deep in a way that is aesthetically enjoyable and feels funny on your insides.”
What to expect from ‘Russian Doll’ season 2?
Season 2 follows the Nadia and Alan look for each other and finally cross paths at the deli. Something’s not right but they’re not giving up on each other.
