In an attempt to capture the world’s most wanted art thief; Red Notice has won millions of hearts. The American action comedy film starring Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot, and Ryan Reynolds, gives the actors a dopamine rush as it became Netflix’s most-watched movie in the history of the streaming platform. The movie started streaming on Netflix on November 12, 2021. The movie broke the record of the 2018 movie Bird Box within eleven days of its release.
Red Notice – Statistics
On 16th November, Screen Daily reported “The country top 10 charts indicate the most popular films around the world in the reporting week, without giving specific hours viewed in each country. Tuesday’s report, for example, said Red Notice was in the top 10 of 94 countries including the US, UK, Australia, South Korea, France, Germany, Mexico, Ecuador, Poland and Nigeria.”
According to the top 10 Netflix weekly rankings for English-language films, Red Notice was the most-streamed film with 148.72 million hours watched. Furthermore, this is the highest viewership for any film on Netflix during its debut weekend. They also ranked it in the top 10 Netflix charts in 94 countries.
Netflix revealed on 28 December that the blockbuster gained a viewership of 362.02 million hours. Ultimately, the movie displaced Bird Box within 11 days of its release, whose total viewership was 282 million hours.
Notably, following the footsteps of this movie; Don’t Look Up becomes the #2 movie of all time, getting 321.5 million streaming hours in its first 17 days of release.

As Red Notice broke all the records and maintained its rank for 9 weeks straight, its stars were on cloud nine. The Rock expressed his happiness through an Instagram post that read- “Our RED NOTICE continues to SHATTER VIEWING RECORDS WORLDWIDE on Netflix. Our film is also raising the bar and creating a new paradigm in streaming. ” Furthermore, Dwayne Johnson mentions “Red Notice was sevenbucksprod’s first effort in delivering a film solely for a streaming platform…”
Moreover, The Rock also re-shared a Post From Red Notice Director Rawson Thurber on December 1, 2021, to express their excitement.
Similarly, Gal Gadot also took to Instagram to express her gratitude towards her fans. Her post read ‘ Wow wow wow… WOW! You guys I can’t tell how happy, how grateful, how blown away I am by these crazy stats and info…’
