Ragnarok season 2 release date, synopsis and trailer
Netflix has dropped Ragnarok season 2 teaser on its official YouTube channel. Season 2 of the fantasy TV series will hit Netflix on May 27th, 2021.
Norwegian series Ragnarok will be back on Netflix with season 2. The show is starring David Stakston as Magne Seier who is literally the incarnated version of God of Thunder. Based on Norse mythology, Ragnarok has taken us to a small village called Edda with dwellers that seem pretty ordinary at first.
Although it seems like a regular Scandinavian village, Edda is actually troubled by the many dangers of pollution. Caused by the factories owned by Jutul family, the village along with the whole country is in danger. And Magne, as the reincarnation of Thor will put an end to all this and prevent Ragnarok from happening.

Norwegian Netflix Original series Ragnarok depicts the mythological epic of the world being destroyed in a modern and refined tone. Jutuls family are actually Jötunn, which are types of entities that wee see in Nordic myths and sagas. Climate change and global pollution also symbolize Ragnarok, the end of the world.

Here’s the official Ragnarok synopsis
“In a Norwegian town poisoned by pollution and rattled by melting glaciers, the End Times feel all too real. It’ll take a legend to battle and old evil.”
Edda has not been saved yet but Magne has come to terms with his true identity. After the fight between Magne and Vidar, season 1 finale has left us waiting with goosebumps. Now our young hero is in search of allies in order to unite against the ancient evil.
